  • Things that are true all the time.



Affirmative
Subject  +  base form of the verb  +  complement


Examples:
I eat breakfast every morning.
I go to school all the time.
Gloria goes shopping every day.
They play soccer sometimes.






Negative
Subject  +  don't / doesn't  +  verb base form  +  complement

Examples:
I don't eat breakfast every morning.
I don't go to school all the time.
Gloria doesn't go shopping every day.
They sometimes don't play soccer.





Interrogative (Yes/No questions and short answers)
Do / Does  +  subject  +  verb base form  + complement  +  ?

Examples:
Do yo go to a class in the evening?  Yes I do. /  No, I don't.
Does your mother work on the weekends?  Yes, she does.  /  No, she doesn't.
Do you and your friends play sports after class? Yes, we do.  /  No, we don't.
Do your friends make phone calls at night?  Yes, they do.  /  No, they don't.
